Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized healthcare plans for students.
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing procedures as required.
• Monitor students' health status (vital signs, progress) and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate students, families, and staff on health management, safety, and wellness.
• Provide emergency care and first aid as needed.
• Document all care provided in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to support student health needs.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in school nursing and special education.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active RN License in the state of New York.
• 1-2 years of nursing experience (experience in a school or special education setting preferred).
• Strong clinical skills and ability to perform nursing procedures independently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
• Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently in a school setting.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• CPR and BLS certification (preferred).
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems (preferred).
